Cheap but awesome value. No camera. No GPS. No FPV.
Because this drone has no camera, and is well under 250 grams in liftoff weight it qualifies for no CAA requirements for either pilot ID or operator ID. Also, we can reasonably suspect that marketing it as a “toy” gets it through some other legal loopholes as well.I bought this as a trainer from which to graduate from to a slightly larger drone, with a camera, which will require me to register for Operator ID. But this one can be flown indoors, space permitting. It has most of the same functions and control operations (less the camera) as the more sophisticated drones, but without the GPS it doesn’t stay motionless, (it kinda drifts) but it has robust cages around the props making it safer for flying indoors. With this drone I can practice flying, by line of sight, avoiding obstacles, controlling in opposing direction, turning, and reaction. And if I break it, the cost won’t break me.The package gives you 3 batteries, a decent case, (although I wouldn’t stuff into any other baggage) a charging lead which incorporates overcharge protection, and a pack of spare props.Limitations:*Don’t expect this toy to have a long range, as in the distance you can fly it away from your controller, and you don’t have a very long flight time;*Battery flight time is rather less than is expected by the user instructions;*The controller requires 3 AAA batteries from which you don’t get that many flights before the controller red light starts flashing. I think I only got 15, maybe 17 flights (I don’t know because I didn’t count) before needing new controller batteries.*Probably not able to cope with any kind of outdoor wind, although I have yet to try it outside. In summary, when I’ve finished with this “toy”, and have my CAA Pilot and Operator ID, I have a young nephew to whom I could offer it.Additional: 02/01/25.The instructions, or user manual doesn’t give any advice on how much flight-time a fully charged battery will give you, but the Amazon listing says you can get 20 to 27 minutes of flight which is pushing optimism somewhat beyond reality, I think. That’s “flight”, not “flightS” per fully charged battery. But actually, one charged battery will give you about 8 max or less depending on how hard you work it. So 3 fully charged batteries will actually only give you a combined flying time of less than 25 minutes. That may improve slightly after the batteries have been discharged and recharged a few times although I’m not seeing evidence of that. I’ve now timed a couple of flights that lasted around 7:15. So 10 minutes really is unrealistic.*Battery recharge takes up to an hour depending on the charger.I’ve seen other reviews saying that control response is poor. Well, maybe, but what were you expecting?I’ve also seen another review reporting that all the propellers snapped after only a few flights. I had a prop come off its shaft as a result of a rather abrupt collision, but it went back on without a problem. So what was the pilot doing with it?Having made a lot of less than positive points about this drone, I will say that it’s well worth waiting to see if it (or anything very similar) comes up on a special offer. If you can get one of these for say £25 or less, then you’ll have a real bargain. I got my larger drone on Black Friday deal, less than half price.Just don’t expect too much. I mean, c’mon, only ten or so years ago these things were virtually unheard of.

Appalling
I don't know if this one I recieved is just defective cos the other reviews seemed pretty good for the price but here goes .Got my boy this for Christmas he was so excited to play with it. We first set it up in the house and before even touching anything this thing just shot off couldn't turn it off or anything ... I was running round the house with the brush trying to catch the thing like a possessed fairy..Anyhow after catching it I figured oh maybe it's something to do with the battery or because it was I door I noticed what seemed to be an auto land button on the controller I thought hmm maybe it can only be used outside ..... wooooaaahhhh I was wrong anyway the excitement in my boys face as we placed it outside and it didn't take off on its own he was thrilled he was like hey dad I got this .... next minute woooshhh off it goes... next minute my boys like dad it's not doing what I say so I grab the remote thinking he's not doing it right and next thing you know it it isn't doing anything you direct it to do ... all it's doing is going up and down on its own ... then like before whoosh off it goes into the sky ... I'm franticly pressing all the buttons trying to shut it off and luckily I pressed something right cos it starts falling out the sky ... now I'm thinking s@@@ what if it hits someone so I'm there franticly pressing buttons again but before you know it's it's disappeared 3 streets over .... after an hour of searching we found it and surprisingly not a scratch on it so 10/10 for resilience when it comes to crashing .... however I think no matter what we do it just doesn't respond to the controls at all and just has a life on its own ... very disappointed 😞

Good for kids who don't understand what a drone is
This is a good product maybe for a younger child of the ages of 5 to maybe 10 but this is not the sort of drone to get for an 11 year old as they don't find it amusing having to charge the batterys after 6-8 mins of use for 2 hours befor one battery is charged also the controller and drone some times does the opposite to the button pressed it has been bashing into things when it's ment to have a sensor for drone to not bash into things price is way to much for this product can get better on Amazon for just a little extra money imo look for other items with better reviews

lovely first drone
lovely mini drone, i have used it indoors and i am well impressed as drone has protection around the blades and mi little one can't damage them that easy, keeping his own height and if you manage to rectify and fix balance on the drone , is perfect first drone , specially that is gesture controlled ,easy to flight after the instruction was read carefully .speed can be regulated , the battery life is fine and on top of it comes with 2 extra batteries , so alot better then most mini drones. Please read all instructions carefully before using it, it will help you a lot.
