The natural cure-all best kept secret--natural pathogens killer
Olive leaf extract is known as one of the best "natural doctors" even when you aren't quite sure what's wrong. And sometimes even when you do! People use it to ward off a cold or virus coming on, when an animal can't tell you what's wrong, this can often wipe out the bacteria, virus, or parasite in their systems...just as it does your own.Trouble is that many olive leaf extracts come in pill form...easier for humans but if you keep it on hand to also treat kids or animals that's not so easy. So these drops are quite handy. These aren't some "newfangled cure". Olive leaf extract was said to have often been used to successfully cure some with malaria long before modern medicine came along. The olive tree can live for over 100 years by warding off parasites, bacteria, and things that would normally "attack" a tree...it was found that oleuropein in a certain part of the leaf was what naturally fought these foreign bodies. Tried in humans at a dosage of 18% or more it was found to cure everything from fever blisters to viruses to parasites to naturally curing high blood pressure in an astonishing number of study participants. From Wikipedia who can say it better than myself: "Bioassays support its antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory effects at a laboratory level. A liquid extract made directly from fresh olive leaves recently gained international attention when it was shown to have an antioxidant capacity almost double green tea extract and 400% higher than vitamin C...Olive leaf is commonly used to fight colds and flu, yeast infections, and viral infections such as the hard-to-treat Epstein-Barr disease, shingles and herpes. Olive leaf has been shown to reduce low-density lipoproteins (LDL), or bad cholesterol. Researchers[1][2][3][4] have found that olive leaf lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow by relaxing the arteries"Olive leaf extract is used my many for anti-aging and has replaced green tea as the natural "take it daily and stay well" cure-all.While I don't do that, I do keep it around now that I've had some sick animals in our horrid Texas summer. After my chickens showed signs of a virus, I put 6 drops in their water container that they drank for a week. Things cleared out of those chickens that clearly had no place in them...in fact, it was evident that bacterial problems were diminished. I'll leave it at that without the details!!I also often put a few drops in my own water (it tastes like tea). I am not one to do a fast or a cleanse. I enjoy cooking way too much for that...but this does the same thing. We all naturally have internal parasties and bacteria in our systems. This just eliminates them...some use it all the time, others just when they want to ward off a cold.Olive leaf extract is actually being used at some cancer centers as it has shown promising results in naturally fighting some types of tumors...this from it's free radical fighting properties.3 drops daily should be enough, but I know some take more when feeling ill as an "immune shock"...but I wouldn't go over 6, personally. You want to clear things out slowly as you don't want to shock your system too much at once.

You'll be surprised at the many benefits of using Olive Leaf extract
Historically, olive leaf was used as a cure-all herbal tonic for an assortment of maladies. Even today, the antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties of olive leaf have much to offer in the way of health benefits. It's currently being studied for its ability to control blood sugar, improve heart health, lower blood pressure, as well as potential as a cancer preventative. However, one of its main benefits is as a super-antioxidant. Research has shown it to have an antioxidant capacity almost double that of green tea extract and 400% higher than vitamin C. There are many health promoting benefits linked to its antioxidant activity...for instance, its anti-inflammatory properties which can be of help with the pain and swelling of arthritis. These antioxidant compounds provide major health benefits, and help to reduce the risk of many chronic and degenerative diseases. While many other immune boosters work only at stimulating your body's own immune system to work at peak efficiency, the oleuropein in olive leaf works to kill or resist the multiplication of a broad range of viruses, bacteria, yeasts, fungi, and other parasites in your system. So, not only is your immune system getting bolstered; the olive leaf itself is doing much of the work for you in ridding your body of the offending problem.Another significant benefit of olive leaf is that it helps to inactivate disease-causing pathogens without destroying the good bacteria in your intestinal tract. This is an advantage over antibiotics which normally kill bad as well as good bacteria. Since nearly 70% of your immunity resides inside your gastrointestinal system, it's important to keep a healthy amount of good bacteria present. Because of this, it's important to begin using olive leaf extract before an infection worsens to the point of an antibiotic becoming necessary.I've found this to be a very important supplement for our family's health. While I usually take the minimum dose daily, we do increase the dosage at the first sign of illness.I've used olive leaf in both capsule and this liquid form. You can use 1-2 droppers-full twice a day by either squeezing it into your mouth or, as I do, by putting it into a glass of water and drinking it. I prefer the latter way. I add it to just an inch or two of water in a glass and quickly chug it down. It doesn't taste great; but it doesn't taste horrible either. To me, it sort of tastes like what a freshly-cut hay field smells. There are also reported benefits for animals. I put a small amount in my dogs' and cat's meals every day as a preventative to illness.

Great Product, but I've Moved On
I initially tried NOW Supplements Olive Leaf Glycerite Liquid as part of my wellness routine, seeking its purported benefits. The product delivered as expected, offering convenience with the included dropper and providing a straightforward way to incorporate olive leaf extract into my daily regimen. However, as my routine evolved and my preferences shifted, I found myself gravitating towards a capsule form of this supplement. While the liquid form was effective and easy to use, the capsule format better aligns with my current lifestyle and supplementation approach.Despite transitioning away from the liquid form, I must acknowledge the positive experience I had with NOW Supplements Olive Leaf Glycerite. It served its purpose admirably during the time I used it, and I would still recommend it to others seeking the benefits of olive leaf extract in liquid form.

Olive leaf
Have been taking this for over a month now after hearing all of the benefits of olive leaf. It may be too soon to tell any major effects but what I have noticed is increased body pain I figured this was what some call a “die off period” but even over a month in I still am feeling the body aches. I also have noticed a weird smell with my body odor wondering if anyone else is/was experiencing this? I assume since it is such a pungent/bad tasting product it can alter your scent? Good news is I haven’t gotten sick since taking. I am one that gets sick fairly often. Will update again if any other changes are noticed.
