Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide to Diagon Alley and Beyond

All of his pop up books are amazing, intricate and structural masterpieces of engineering. They never cease to amaze me how he does it, the detail etc. Just buy them all, including this one.

Such a good purchase for a Harry Potter enthusiast. Once the book is extended it’s huge! There is so much to look at plus It’s easy to put back together and it’s sturdy

I’m a massive Harry Potter fan and a collector of HP ‘stuff’. I’ve been looking at this for a while but it’s expensive and there are other things I would like. Anyway I decided to take the plunge and order it. To be honest I wish I hadn’t bothered. It’s looks brilliant when it arrives. Big chunky book with lots of paper crafting sleeves inside. There are instructions which to be honest may as well be written in hieroglyphics for all the sense they make. Luckily it does have a link to a u tube video showing you how to open this book. I followed that and did get it set up how it should be but the paper is poor, rips easily and the flaps that are supposed to hold it together don’t stay in place. The little paper ‘character’s’ are awful. They don’t stand up and the paper bases just rip. The idea that a child could play with this ( that’s what the blurb on the book states) is living in fantasy land. This nearly £40 book would be ripped to pieces in the hands of a child. As a collector I was exceptionally careful when unfolding this and as I put one tab in place at one end the tab at the other end ripped. Not impressed. Because the whole thing has been folded inside a book none of the buildings stay upright because they have been shut up in a folded position too long. If you think you are going to get the crafted paper Diagonal Alley you wanted you will be disappointed. I suspect that the video showing how this book unfolds uses a set that’s never been in a folded position for longer than five minutes. Same with the photos on Amazon. I’m exceptionally disappointed with this. It’s overpriced, impractical and poor quality paper. I will add it to my collection because it’s not actually faulty but it will probably never be opened again. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this and if you too are a collector spend your money on something else.

Not great. Glad I got it the price I did. Really complicated to set up and mine was torn already from a previous person clearly struggling with it too. Can’t be bothered to send it back but it’s certainly not worth the full price. The previous pop up Harry Potter book was much nicer and made much better.

Wonderful as always although very fiddly for something so delicate and at such a price.

non mi aspettavo fosse cosi bello... ho faticato tanto a trovarlo, alla fine sono stata costretta alla versione inglese (quella italiana non si trova più) ma la parte da leggere è minima e assolutamente traducibile anche dei ragazzi. UNICA ACCORTEZZA... ATTENZIONE A COME LO APRITE O RISCHIATE DI ROMPERLO TUTTO...CONSIGLIO DI GUARDARE IL VIDEO SUGGERITO NELLE ISTRUZIONI. ci sono delle linguette non facilmente visibili che se non si aprono o si aprono male non permettono la buona apertura del libro o lo rompono. Ci vuole un po di pazienza, la prima volta, ma vi garantisco che il risultato è fantastico.... ricchissimo di dettagli, ogni volta che lo apriamo ne troviamo di nuovi... ottima idea per i grandi e per i ragazzi... forse non troppo per i piccini in quanto è molto delicato.Ovviamente non è da lettura ma solo da SOGNO... sembra di aprire un uovo di pasqua con tante sorprese...consegna imballaggio come da standar amazon... impeccabile

Sehr gutes popup Buch

Un libro molto bello, quasi un piccolo capolavoro, se si osservano i tanti piccoli dettagli. Si piega bene, anche se è diverso dai libri pop-up con più pagine e con effetti più piccoli per questo.Ho messo una normale pagina A4 davanti al libro per farvi confrontare le dimensioni.Va inoltre notato che è relativamente ampio.
