VIM Tools Triple Square Serrated Stubby 11 Piece XZN Driver Set 3/8 Drive 4MM 5MM 6MM 7MM 8MM 9MM 10MM 12MM 14MM 16MM

We ordered a set of these. The first had 2 6mm and no 7mm. We returned it and they shipped a new one. The next set had a 7mm, but the 18mm was tamper proof. Having already sent a set back, we ordered a new set, and held the second return until we got the third set, in case there was another error. The third set, 18mm is again tamper proof. At this point, we are just going to keep the set. The tools are very good quality, and it is unlikely we will need the 18mm very much anyway. But it seems odd that we ordered 3 sets, and none of them contained all the correct items.

VIM makes great bits, S2 Tool steel, excellent grip on fasteners, lifetime warranty, and outstanding customer service. One of my favorite tool companies.This set is particularly good because it covers just about every size you will run into if you work on foreign cars. It’s the most complete set I’ve come across, at a price range that makes it accessible to anyone.I rarely use these, but better to have and not need than need and not have. And buying them individually wherever I could find them would’ve easily added up to more than I paid for this set, and probably mismatched and inferior bits. I’ve learned the hard way that biting the bullet on some master sets will save you $$ in the long run.

This is a good set, i have not broken any yet and it has a good size range that other sets do not offer. i use them for brake caliper bolts and interior seat frame bolts. they hold up well. i have not used other high quality triple squares so i cant compare them to other brands like snap on or matco but they haven't failed me yet so i cant complain. the plastic case that came with it was cracked when it arrived so it was useless. otherwise good product, good price.

I'm a VW tech and have to use these often. They look cheap and since they were inexpensive I figured I would break them fairly quickly. All of them are still in tact. Every time I use it I think "this is the time it's going to break or round off" but no matter how frozen the bolt is or how much torque I have to crank down on it with, I have yet to break one. I haven't tried it with an impact though, but it's really not designed for that anyway.

Just replaced an engine in an Audi with this socket set. They are super handy to have around and they held up to the use of a 120 ft lb snap on electric impact. Highly recommended for foreign car service.

Well made, great value. Have used VIM TOOLS before always a first rate tool that compares well to better known German brands. Just wish they were a little shorter to match the height of the Snap On ones, however, at this price point, no complaints.

The splines fit beautifully in the bolts with no slop and can take some torque(~80ft/lbs) without deforming. The container they come in is for display only so be prepared to have them rolling around your tool box or get a socket tray/rail. Overall, highly recommended.

A nice complete set of triple squares. They are much less bulky than typical triple square drivers but I wouldn't call them stubby. The other vim half cut bits are much smaller. I understand that these are 3/8 drive but they could have made smaller atleast the smaller sizes. Still a top notch socket set for the money!

Seems to work ok. Although, I find that the bolts strip quite easily. I don't believe that this has anything to do with the tools. Shipping information was not provided, which I found frustrating.

Would be nice if it came in a hard case.
