Bought these to switch a magnifying work lamp from fluorescent to LED. Bypassed the ballast, plugged these in and viola! Now I work in comfort and the lamp doesn't get too hot. So happy that I didn't have to buy a whole new lamp!

I bought these to replace the CF bulbs in my old school Aerogarden. The fit and work, but are facing out instead of down. Since the inside of the top is mirrored this seems to be OK so far and is as bright as a full spectrum panel I managed to buy a few years ago for my other unit which oddly are no longer available. In general, it is a good value and hopefully they will have a long life.

Shining in only one direction means much more efficient use of the light, and because it's LED, it uses less electricity than fluorescents. The heat sink feel solid, too. The fact they're rated up to 300V means you don't need to remove the ballast, which is very nice. I just wish they came in G24Q base type, too! (which is the more common recessed kitchen lighting base.)

Ordered to replace the light in my old commercial embroidery machine. It fit in the socket nicely but sadly was not compatible. It just flashed constantly and there is no ballast on the embroidery machine to bypass to get it to work correctly. Sent back for a refund. If it had been compatible, it would have been a great deal!

I think these are great. I WAS ABLE TO plug them in without modifing the lamp. I guess I have Magnetic ballasts. But plun and play. Nice white light.

If you have a fluorescent light on your super Chex bubble hockey then you need to buy this simple upgrade. Night and day difference!
