Added drive to 17t-CN300 without issue. I use this drive to store the backup files. There are reviews that mention using the shorter wire unit (offered by Amazon), it will probably work just fine. I got the longer cable 'just in case', needn't have bothered it was more than close enough.Go ahead and upgrade the memory while your in there.

Bought this for my 17" HP laptop my model CA3055CL Sold at Costco.It is not sold as an "Envy" however it looks similar to other 17" HP laptops.I ordered the long version of this to I stall an SSD in the second drive bay internally. The rubber "caddy" feels cheap as some say. However, it really doesn't matter. How it feels has nothing to do with how it functions and it functions perfectly by securing the SSD in the opening. The cable was perfectly sized to make the two 90° turns to the lego connector.

Used in a 17 inch HP model number 17-cn2063cl, worked out just fine. The cable is long needed to fold it three times but works fine. The cable for 15 inch laptops likely would have worked as well.

I hunted this cable for two years from computer repair companies, HP, and others, but one day while shopping for something else the very cable I was looking for popped up. Sham on me I did not go to Amazon first.

Needed this to add a hard drive to an HP laptop that had dual HDD ports. Was perfect, fit, design, everything was compatible with the laptop, thanks!
