Good Economy Horn BUT YOU MUST DO THIS TO IT....
This is the third "AFI" dual horn I've put on my 2002 boat. So, I got about 8 years out of each previous horn. However, the trouble with these horns as many have stated is they seem to "die" and fail to blast the way they did when they were new. Sometimes it is a year, sometimes 2-3 years, who knows? WHY do they do this? From my experience, I initially had to open up my horn and clean out the internal spiral baffles almost every year because everything from wasps to crickets to all kinds of nest building insects love to build their nests deep inside the baffles of these horns. You hit the horn button and it sounds muffled, you probably have a nest inside the thing of some sort or another that you can't see. Open it up and see what decided to make a nest inside. If you find one clean it out, put it back together and it works like new again. To remedy this, get yourself some heavy plastic or vinyl screen and some 5-minute epoxy. Cut the screen so it is the perfect shape for the outlet of the horn. Mix your 5-minute epoxy and place a thin bead all around the black plastic horn opening. Take your pre-cut pieces of screen and gently press them into the epoxy bead around the horn openings. 5 minutes later you have a horn that no bugs can get into and build nests in anymore. I can virtually assure 90% of the people here who claim their horn died if they opened it up they would have found bug nests deep inside of them with the internal baffles fully blocked to the point they press the button and the horn just seems to hum instead of blasting like it did when it was new.

Very Loud
I bought these to replace the cheap single horn on my Avalon Pontoon boat. The Avalon is an expensive boat, yet they went cheap with the horn. These are nice looking horns, nice enough to mount on a deck, but I put them where I had the other horn, under the deck by the front tip of the toon. Even though they are hidden, they are very loud. Even though my pontoon boat is large and hard to miss, people still do stupid things in front of you. Having a good quality and loud horn is important.

Nice and loud and easy to mount.
Great horn at a good price. Works very well and is loud - 106 db. Perfectly mounted on my boat without any issue. Several positions are possible to fit your boat. I like it.

Works okay
I was replacing the existing horn which had rusted out. This new horn is identical to the old one, so the wiring was already in place. This made installation very quick and simple. The horn works fine but I can't comment on durability yet. The old horn, which is identical to this one, lasted about 5 years.

Great sounding horn for our pontoon boat
Not hard to install. Works great. Looks good. Installed above the deck on the side of the console. Hardly ever gets wet. Also installed a marine horn button. Wish that I had installed this horn years ago. It was one of many covid projects.

Fit my retro CANADIAN MALIBU BOAT HORN REPLACEMENT
I was very happy, the mount, rubber shim, and look was looking pretty much the same as my 1984/5 Canadian Malibu 16.2 boat exactly.I took the old cover off my old horn, and it clipped onto the new one after connecting new one onto my boat.My old horn was tired and upon opening it up for examination, I found some determination by rust.New one sounds great and I suspect close to what the old one did when it was new.If you into renewing keeping the patina, this could be a good pick .The photo,is new horn with the old cover .
