GerberGear TRI-Tip Mini Cleaver Fixed Blade Camping Knife with Molle Sheath for Survival and Bushcrafting

If you are looking for a Cleaver, look elsewhere. This is NOT a Cleaver. It's really more of a nice little rolling chopper/cutter. Half way between a knife and a Cleaver. The cutting edge is actually curved, not straight. Pay careful attention to its size in the photos. It's about half the size of a traditional cleaver. However it is about as heavy. The handle could be just a tad longer, but when you hold it like a french knife, it fits perfectly even in my gigantic man-hands! The blade itself is wonderlicious however the Sheath (if it can be called that) does leave something to be desired. It's a Kydex contraption with removeable and relocatable screws. You can mount the "Belt attachment" a number of different ways so that it hangs down a tad lower, or sideways, or even upside down. Unfortunately, the Belt attachment is way too wide and does not curve. So you will feel it.The knife is retained in the sheath by a VERY heavy Kydex lever stop which makes it rattle free and has a VERY positive lock.

My son loves this Gerber product. As always and usual for Gerber they delivered a very good quality product. Nice finish and very sharp. Quick delivery! Will recommend to buy if you have to or need something small and of good quality.

I had to sand the edges of the sheath a little bit when I got the knife. The edges of the sheath were a little sharp and unfortunately when worn on a belt. Now it's perfect. The knife itself is great. Itwill probably outlive me.

I love the size of this min cleaver, it has a nice handle and flat tang for thumb placement. The belt sheath is a great style with a positive belt slide thru design and a latch clip to hold the cleaver securely.

The media could not be loaded. I got this for fishing, and it rules. I accidentally tapped my thumb with it, and cut myself. It's super heavy so that helps it cutting. You'll notice holes all around the sheath for this knife. You can change the orientation to which the sheath connects to the belt loop. I took mine from going vertical to horizontal, and I love it.Seriously, buy this knife.

I love this knife. I’ve had it attached to my belt probably forty five of the last fifty days. I really do love it but there are two problems I have to highlight.1. The sheath is sharp. Like cut me sharp. Pretty quick fix, Dremel and a sanding drum bit. Although it’s still tearing up my belt. The sharp corners on the inside of the belt loop are wearing on my pleather belt.2. It’s a little blade heavy. If the handle was just a little larger it would be better balanced.Still a dope freaking blade.

I bought it at a discounted price. Knife and sheath very well made.

Sharp knife, nice kydex sheath. I like the shape of it. Has a nice weight to it.
