Please read capabilities carefully and do not assume.
This product has its advantages and disadvantages.Firstly advantages, this can be used to transmit audio to/from any device with a 3.5mm jack as the USB port is for power only, the audio is provided via the 3.5mm cable. This means that you can send audio from anything, an old TV, a tape player, anything.Secondly my misconceptions. As this is a Bluetooth adapter, I expected to be able to connect other Bluetooth devices to it, was aiming to use it on my laptop to allow access to headphones and mouse. Digging through the specs it does say it only supports items with a 3.5mm jack which obviously a mouse doesn’t have, so my fault for not reading fully every part of the spec. Now what I don’t like.Sound quality was “shocking” as they described but not in a good way. I have a nice quality pair of headphones that run on either Bluetooth 5.0 or wired. From the same source music sounded terrible over the Bluetooth compared to cable. Bluetooth 5.0s transfer capability is high enough for virtually lossless audio and used with 4.0 connection audio it is fine on these. I’m not talking about audiophile only level of difference, the top end is almost non-existent, and the reproduction in general sounded off. Could I tell what the song was, yes, would it be “ok” for listening to a talk show on radio, well mostly, will I listen to music through it ever again – highly doubtful. The device also needs to be re-paired every time it is switched on, not a positive when considering todays technology. Mode switching is achieved by unplugging it and plugging it back in again, I’ll allow you to decide if that is acceptable for yourself.Plugging USB device into a my PC with windows 10 caused a 5 minute loop of rejection noises and repeated Last usb device failed messages. This did settle down once windows hit some sort of limit and finally rejected the usb completely. This did however allow the device to power up.The feel of the product is light-weight, and budget. While the light-weight side can be good, and I have no evidence to say the product will not last, I could not describe it as feeling durable.Would I recommend it to others? Possibly under specific circumstances, but even then, it would not be my first choice.Am I happy with my purchase? No.You may ask why I have posted this review rather than discussing with the seller. I feel that it’s important that people understand what this product is, and more importantly what it isn’t. Do I feel justified in returning the product? No, as it does what it said. Do I feel that the advertising could have been clearer, yes specifically about what it will not do.I am wondering why they have shown it connecting to a printer via Bluetooth though, can’t think of a lot of printers that have a good sound input or output. Why only 2 stars - I think 1 star would be unjustified as it did what it said. I've aimed for 2 stars to reflect the fact that there are positives to this product but I feel they are significantly out weighed.

People need to read the description before purchasing
I love this bit of kit. Simply put, it does what it is designed to do and it does it ok for what it costs.I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this dongle and it was quite amazing to see how many of the bad reviews where complaints about the product not working the way it should... Hilarious, it works exactly the way it is designed to work... The reviews were bad because the writer had bought the wrong product. It is not a Bluetooth adapter for connecting pc / Mac ( with no built in Bluetooth ) to a Bluetooth device like a mobile phone or Bluetooth enabled speaker, with the idea of sending data....It is a DAC, it converts analogue audio to digital audio in one mode and converts digital audio to analogue audio in the other mode. This is where I start to grumble... The sound produced by the device is poor at best... I would not want to sit in a quiet room listen to my favourite music for hours using it.... Its not crackly, glitchy or distorted, just thin and lacking detail... But sitting on a train next to a drunk relative with my old earbuds on... Good enough. But what am I saying, I paid about £4 for mine (including deliver) so I think it's great.

Works but is fiddly
Purchased to connect my Mums wireless headphones to her tv, they worked but getting it to change from receiving to transmitting was an absolute pain as you have to keep putting it in and out until it starts flashing red and the socket is at the back of the tv and a prolonged thing to do before it changes. Would benefit having a switch to change from receiving to transmitting.

Works. Sound isn’t great.
The good: I got this up and running in a 2009 BMW in minutes with no problems. It works just fine as an auxiliary source. This is a pretty good start given that BMWs own solution for getting music from your phone - hideously expensive phone cradles that go straight to landfill every time you change phone - don’t even work most of the time. The not so good: I’m no audiophile but the sound ain’t great, and loses a fair bit of quality compared with radio or CD. Specifically, I would say that the mid-tones are almost absent - it’s all treble and bass. Suddenly a respectable car audio system sound like a £10 portable speaker. Because it works as a dumb Aux input through a 3.5mm jack there are no track listings etc on the car’s display

Bad noises in your music.
Sound is bad. Almost all the time you’re hearing something like noises. It’s disturbing after a while. And if you think it’s a good idea for your car, don’t. Every time you start your car you need to check if is red or blue light. You can transmit from your phone only when is blue light and to achieve that you need to take out and insert in the usb till you’ll see blue light. Neither with headphones or speakers isn’t much more easier. If you cut the power you need to do the tricks with blue/red light. Overall I’m disappointed. Don’t take this one. Try something else.

Works well but volume on BT is lower than on audio jack
I bought this adaptor to use at work since the BT settings are locked down and using a headphone cable trails across the keyboard. I haven't had any issues pairing this with my headphones but I do find that the volume via the adaptor is significantly lower than using an audio cable. This is not usually a problem, as I can turn the volume up - but I do max it out, but if the office is particularly noisy I have to revert to the audio cable.

Doesn't have the range of Bluetooth 5.0, maybe a BT4.2 transmitter.
I doubt this is Bluetooth 5.0, as it does not have the range of Bluetooth 5. However, there is no noticeable lag when connecting it from a TV to Bluetooth headphones. The USB connector is for power only, and sound is supplied by the Aux connector. Simple enough to use, but due to the dongle design, I think many people think you need a driver in Windows or Mac.
